Shipping and Returns

At Amala Carpets we are excited to be able to offer FREE SHIPPING for all orders in the Greater Toronto and Hamilton Areas. Other Canadian and/or international shipments are subject to our convenient flat rates. Our shipping charges are per address. That means that you will pay the flat rate per each address that you want us to deliver to in your order.

Please keep in mind that the delivery times posted on this website go into effect the business day after your order has been placed.

*Additional brokerage and customs charges may apply for orders outside of Canada.

Returns and Exchanges

We pride ourselves in the high quality of our products, we make it one of our top priorities to ensure that our merchandise is free of manufacturing defects. All of our carpets are made by hand from start to finish by skilled craftspeople and artists. Therefore, irregularities are can be expected and/or intended.

Amala Carpets will not accept returns of any merchandise purchased through our online store. If You consider your purchase should qualify for a refund or exchange, please email within the first 30 days after your item was delivered. Decisions will be made on a case by case basis.

In the exceptional cases in which a refund or return is deemed acceptable, the following will apply:

Refunds (if applicable)

Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.
If you are approved, then your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment, within a certain amount of days. 

Late or missing refunds (if applicable)

If you haven’t received a refund yet, first check your bank account again. 
Then contact your credit card company, it may take some time before your refund is officially posted.
Next contact your bank. There is often some processing time before a refund is posted.

Sale items (if applicable)

Only regular priced items may be refunded under some circumstances, unfortunately sale items cannot be refunded.

Exchanges (if applicable)

We may allow exchanges when the wrong carpet was ordered by mistake. However, all shipping costs and customs fees will be your responsibility as a customer or client.  If you need to exchange it for the same item, send us an email at with information regarding your case and send your item to:

Be advised that you in most occasions you will need to wait for the next item to be hand-woven.


If the item was marked as a gift when purchased and shipped directly to you, you’ll receive a gift credit for the value of your return. Once the returned item is received, a gift certificate will be emailed to you.

If the item wasn’t marked as a gift when purchased, or the gift giver had the order shipped to themselves to give to you later, we will send a refund to the gift giver and he will find out about your return.

You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping costs are non-refundable. If you receive a refund, the cost of return shipping will be deducted from your refund. 

Depending on where you live, the time it may take for your exchanged product to reach you, may vary.

You should always consider using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. We don’t guarantee that we will receive your returned item.
